Digital radiographic testing (RT-D) - LEVEL I and II

TRAINING COURSE (RT-D)

LEVEL I and II

The Digital Radiographic method (RT-D) is based on Radiographic testing technology (RT), in which the X-ray (or Gamma-ray) image is delivered not by film but by a flat panel detector (DDA system). A source of ionizing radiation, sensitivity reference and marking are still required to carry out the RC in this way.

The most significant benefits of the method are:

  • no consumables;
  • significantly improved image quality;
  • real-time testing capability;
  • savings over film technology;
  • no need for a film development laboratory and disposal of used films;
  • immediate receipt of monitoring results;
  • ability to achieve any sensitivity by collecting and matching the data;
  • applying digital filtering to improve image quality;
  • ability to transmit control results over the Internet for advice from a remote expert;
  • ability to store control results on computers and, as a result, create centralized databases;
  • establishment of industry centers for the decryption and analysis of control results to improve control reliability;
  • operational control capability in complex field and weather environments;
  • independence from imports of X-ray film;
  • high spatial resolution of detectors allowing them to detect defects from 50 μm.

TUV NORD Baltik invites anyone wishing to undergo Digital Radiographic method (RT-D) and qualify in one or more industrial and production sectors to one of the qualification levels.

NOTE: to learn RT-D, we strongly recommend studying RT-ll.
